Article Writing Rules & FAQ
ARTICLE SUBMISSION RULES
1. When submitting an article, you acknowledge that you are the sole author of the article and own 100% of all copyrights pertaining to it.
2. Your submission gives ThingsWeLearned.com unconditional permission to publish the article on this website and offer it through RSS feeds.
3. I suggest you first look at the articles on this website to see the basic format. It's nothing special. The problem is we get so many articles that are just one paragraph, all caps, every word capitalized, five spaces between each paragraph, the article has a left hand margin, etc.
4. 35% of the article submissions we receive are huge 1,000 word, 50 sentence single paragraphs. Articles should be broken up into a few paragraphs, each time you change the topic or idea. Make a single space between each paragraph. Please look at other articles on the website if you need examples.
5. Article Body: Don't center all the text. Don't double and triple space the paragraphs (single space only). Don't capitalize the first letter of every word. Don't use all caps. Do not use a margin for the entire article. Don't use different colors for the text.
6. Article Title: The First Letter Of Each Word Should Be Capitalized. DO NOT USE ALL CAPS. Do not make your title one or two words. Use a few words that make people want to click on it.
7. Your article must be original and informative. Our readers want to know what you've learned! If the information in your article is too basic or is just an advertisement in article form with not much information, it will be rejected. Note: We have decided to allow sponsors to include article ads in the business opportunity category, since most visitors to this category are looking for specific business opportunities. Contact us if you would like to sponsor an article ad in this category.
8. If you don't see a good category for your article either click here to suggest one, or choose "Not Yet Categorized" when submitting your article.
9. Too many article-websites have dozens, if not hundreds, of the exact same articles. This does not make a good experience for the reader. If your article is too similar to another article, it may be rejected.
10. Please spell check your article, use proper English, grammar, punctuation and capitalization.
11. Important: We allow a ONE url link limit in each article, and a TWO url link limit in the author profile.
12. It is the sole discretion of ThingsWeLearned.com to determine if an article fits in with the content we are looking for. We would like to include every article submitted, but please understand that some articles will be rejected.
Articles are reviewed within 48-72 hours.
