View all articles by Teri FarrI've made a few fine jewelry purchases in my life, a couple rings for $6,000 & $4,000 and a diamond tennis bracelet for $7,000. I shopped around for months before making my purchase. I bet I went to 40 different stores before buying these items, thinking I got the best price.
I went to this certain location and they had ALL of the items I bought 50%-60% cheaper. The EXACT SAME ring I bought for $6,000 was only $2,500! And the $7,000 diamond tennis bracelet was only $3,100! I was honestly SHOCKED! I really felt like I was cheated from all these other jewelry stores, selling for double or more.
If you're looking to make a fine jewelry purchase, or would like to sell fine jewelry, this location will save you $1,000's off retail.
The place is the Las Vegas ASD Tradeshow. The exact location is the jewelry expo at the Mirage. It’s free to get in, all you need is a business license, and it’s well worth the trip. I’d say off hand, there are over 1,000 vendors selling jewelry there, and the prices are AMAZING!
Note: 75% of the buyers at the show are retail buyers, and most of the vendors are selling retail (one piece). So I don't know why they even require a business license. But I will say when you go there they don't check them very well. There are hundreds of people in line and they look at the business license for about three seconds just to get your name off of it, if you know what I mean.
